CHELSEY EFFINGER

DESIGNER

Chelsey brings an ecology background to the building industry. Her career as a wildlife biologist was her first act as an advocate for natural ecology and systems thinking. She finally crawled out of the woods and saw the potential to take action within the building industry. Through graduate school, Chelsey found her way to Passive House building techniques and entered the residential design world armed with skills in building science research, high-performance detailing, and energy modeling. She finds great joy in being part of the relationships among client, site, local ecosystem, architect, and carpenter.

Of hearty stock from the upper Midwest, Chelsey enjoys cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, knitting, drinking hot chocolate, and--when the weather allows--swimming, paddling, and camping.

Chelsey is a Certified Passive House Consultant.
