Joe is a former teacher from Vermont who now splits his time between Maine, where he is a builder, and Antarctica, where he fuels the LC-130 airplanes used for scientific research. His favorite activities are making pottery, taking dogs on canoe trips, repairing old vehicles, and growing food.
